Lowland Raspberry Apple aka Liveland Raspberry, Livland Raspberry (Malus sp.) is medium to large in size somewhat flattened fruit is very pretty with red blush striped over cream colored background. Has very tender flavorful sweet white fine grained juicy flesh. Very early ripening, late June for us, a couple of weeks after Yellow Transparent, it is one of the highest quality apples we have found for the early season. A very hardy old dessert apple from Russia it was brought to Wisconsin by A.G. Tuttle in 1883. Also known as Liveland Raspberry, it originated in LIevland (Lithuania). Hardy zones 3-8.
