Mulberries

Mulberries are vigorous, adaptable deciduous trees prized for their abundant crops of sweet, seedless fruits and attractive architectural form. These fast-growing trees produce large, heart-shaped leaves and pendulous fruits similar in size and shape to boysenberries, ranging in color from creamy white to deep purple-black depending on variety. The berries offer exceptional flavor for fresh eating, preserves, and baking, while the foliage has traditional uses in sericulture (silkworm production) and Chinese herbal medicine.
