A wonderfully ornamental tree throughout the year with clouds of beautiful white blooms in spring, backdropped with lustruos green foliage that turns gorgeous shades of gold, red and purple in the fall. The showy bright red 1/4- 1/2″ fruit hangs through the winter and is relished by birds and other wildlife, usually being consumed sometime in late winter. The exfoliating silver grey bark is very attractive as it peels away to expose the warm copper-cinnamon hued inner bark. Small compact tree is great for any yard and is used as a specimon, hedge, or screen. Very tough and hardy it is disease and insect resistent and tolerates poor soil and polluted city conditions. Hardy Zone 5-8.
