Medium-large dark purple fruit has juicy amber flesh that is sweet with a delicious and pleasant flavor. Ripens midseason, continuing great fresh plum eating after Santa Rosa and Beauty. Originally discovered growing outside the sauna at Camp Joy, an organic educational farm in the mountains near Santa Cruz, this excellent variety was first commercially propagated by intrepid plant explorer Mark Dupont of the now retired Sandy Bar nursery. This easy to grow and productive variety is one of our favorites here at the farm and their ripening is eagerly awaited every summer.
