A variety of Prunus mume this beautiful small tree is very popular in Japanese gardens for its early blooming, fragrant, bright pink flowers. Orange-red, tart apricot-like fruit is eaten fresh, canned, or pickled in salt to make traditional Umeboshi pickled plums. It is easy to grow, self-fertile and hardy down to minus 10 degrees F.
Current stock is available as conventional bare root tree with 3/8" caliper.
