Poet's Jasmine

Poet’s Jasmine (Jasminum officianale), also known as Jessamine or Common Jasmine, it has been in cultivation for centuries, having been recorded in Chinese texts from the 3rd century. Valued highly for it's intense richly fragrant beautiful star like white flowers and lush vining growth, it can grow up to 20 feet tall and blooms from spring till fall. Pest and deer resistant it is easy to grow in most well drained soils. Give it a sheltered site in borderline cold situations. An essential oil used in aromatherapy is made from it's flowers and it has been used in many folk therapies around the world, most commonly used as an aphrodisiac. The national flower of Pakistan it is hardy down to zone 8, or 7 with protection. Our Poet's Jasmine is grown in 4x6" pots.
