Also called lemonade berry, it's fruits can be made into a refreshing drink similar to lemonade. Leeaves, roots and branches are used in dying and also has several medicinal herbal uses. Like Staghorn Sumac, but lower growing, it has a loose, open, and wide shape, with a flat top. Very ornamental adding a tropical lush look tto the landscape and turns an incredible bright red in the fall. Great as a specimen, windbreak and is good for stabilizing banks with its rapid growth. Hardy zones 3-9.
