Spartan Apple

Spartan Apple (Malus domestica) is a Canadian variety that ripens Late-midseason. Very sweet and delicious eating apple with lovely dark red skin. Reliable Heavy producer and good disease resistance. Cross of McIntosh and Newton Pippin. Great keeper. Self-Fertile but does better with a pollinator such as Liberty. Needs 800-1000 chill hours and hardy in Zones 4-8.
