Guatemalan variety is currently the standard of the industry.

Medium to large fruits about 5oz average weight. Hass has a very dark pebbly textured skin. Seed is large round. Rich buttery, and creamy flavor.

 Ripens spring into fall. winter avocado that grows in California.

Tree is not as hardy as Mexican types, damaged by temperatures below 30 degrees.

Full sun, water hungry plant, moist soil, sandy, well-draining soil, 6- 7 in of mulch would be ideal for protection of moisture.
