KSU Chappell ™ Paw Paw is a cultivar developed by Kentucky State University. This pawpaw cultivar produces fruit between KSU Benson and Atwood.

Chappell ripens in mid-season producing large fruits and has a sweet banana pineapple flavor and a low seed count.

For Pollination you will need at least 2 pawpaw varieties either 2  grafted or 2 seedlings. Trees should be planted within 8-15 ft  from each other for good cross pollination.

Paw paws do well in a site that is well draining with rich soil. In their natural environment they are used to growing in the under story and making their way into the sun by maturity. So planting in a sunny location, but providing young seedlings some temporary shading from direct sun until they reach maturity will help them establish and have a great fruit set.
