Winter Nelis (Bon de Malines)

Excellent late ripening winter pear is one of the best keepers. Medium sized round-conical fruit hads green skin with brown russet and is sweet, juicy, aromatic, richly flavored with a smooth buttery texture. Hardy, spreading tree is very productive. Originted in Belgium by Jean Charles Nelis in the early 19th century. Hardiness zones 5-9. Requires approximately 700 chill hours.
