some years we have fresh raspberries until Christmas. Homegrown raspberries are a delicious treat eaten fresh, and can be enjoyed all winter long if frozen, made into jams, desserts or fruit wines. Everbearing varieties bear on 1st and 2nd year canes allowing for a long harvest season and will give a crop the first year. Summer bearing varieties give one crop of fruit off their 2nd year canes and will bear the following year from being planted. Self-fertile.
