Braeburn Apple (Malus domestica) is a firm, crisp, sweet and very juicy fruit with a beautiful crimson blush and striking red stripes. Ripens late, making it an excellent keeping apple. Moderately vigorous tree is highly precocious, fruiting at a young age. Also a consistent heavy producer. Originated in New Zealand in the 1950's and soon became one of the most popular varieties in New Zealand and the US. It likes a warm but not hot climate and can be grown successfully in most parts of the USA. The flavor of a Braeburn apple is so rich and complex, it's certainly one of our favorites! Our Braeburn apple trees are certified organic.

pollination requirements
Braeburn apple trees (Malus domestica) are self-fertile and don't need a pollination partner to flower. However, for higher yields, it's recommended to have another Braeburn tree nearby for cross pollination.
site and soil
Braeburn apple trees (Malus 'Braeburn') grow best in deep, loamy, moderately fertile, slightly acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. They tolerate average garden soils, but unamended heavy clay soils which waterlog easily and drain poorly should be avoided.
