Origins are uncertain, but it was likely discovered in Normandy, France; first recorded in 1771. The fruit is a greenish-yellow gold. Great dessert apple sharp, dry, sweet, crisp texture and flavor. It would be best for it to pollinated by another variety of apple such as Granny Smith, Jonathan, Kingston Black and Fuji. Self-Fertile.
