Dapple Dandy Pluot

Developed by Zaiger Genetics, patented (USPP 9254, expired). Vigorous and prolific semi-dwarf tree. 

Medium-large freestone fruit, greenish-yellow skin with red dappled spots turning maroon and yellow when ripe. Creamy white to pink-red flesh. Sweet, balanced sweet-tart plum-apricot flavor, slightly spicy, low-acid. Ripens June-August (midsummer). Award-winning, ranks as top 5 best-flavored at Dave Wilson tastings. 

Nicknamed "Dinosaur Egg" in fresh fruit markets for striking mottled appearance. Frequent taste test winner, mid-season variety. Excellent for fresh eating, canning, preserves, jams.
