Beautiful evergreen shrub has bright gold flowers in the spring follwed by tart dark blue fruits that are high in Vitamin C and good for jams and juices. Shiny dark green foliage stays attractive year around and can take on some reddish tints in colder weather. Grows to about 6 feet tall and wide. Makes a good ornamental specimen and is a great edible hedge plant. Likes a moist soil and can grow in both sun or shade. Native to Chile and Argentina, it is hardy down to zone 7.
