Tejocote fruit, is the common name for pome fruits belonging to the Rosaceae family. Tejocote are a species of Mexican hawthorn native to Mexico. The plant produces tiny, apple-like fruits that are typically incorporated into culinary dishes, holiday candies, punches, and sauces. They can also be grow as a tree or shrub. They can reach 13 to 29' in height. Tejocote fruit ripens in the Winter from October to the end  of January. A great addition to a home garden as an ornamental, medicinal, and culinary shrub/tree.
