Onslow Blueberry (Vaccinium ashei) is a rabbiteye cultivar. Fruits are large and are medium blue in color, very desirable for fresh markets. Self-pollinating, although Columbus, Powderblue, or DeSoto will enhance fruit set if used as a pollinator. Consistent high yields of 12 to 15 pounds per plant can be expected. Onslow is adaptable to a wide variety of soil types and can be grown on soils that are slightly high in pH. This is an excellent choice cultivar to extend the harvest season for the later fresh markets. The plants are extremely high in vigor. Hardiness Zones 8-7.
