President Plum was introduced by Rivers Nursery: first fruited in 1894 and, finally, introduced in 1901. President is the last of the European plums to mature and a great way to extend your season. President Plums are large, high-quality prune-plums with reddish-purple skin and deep yellow, freestone flesh. Versatile in that it makes for a rich, desert-like fresh eating and culinary plum, President plum has a refreshing sweet taste with a hint of acid. Resistance to bacterial spot and brown knot. Zones 4-8
