Merlot Grape aka Picard, Langon (Vitis vinifera) is a productive of long, loose, medium large clusters of dark blue-black grapes that make a great red wine and are also delicious for freh eating and juice. Second most important grape in the Boreaux region of France after Cabernet Sauvignon, it is known to make a wine of fine boquet that is soft and supple of texture. Most productive when either cane, or long spur pruned.  Hardiness zone 7.
