Native to the south-central U.S. these fast growing tough trees withstand drought, heat, cold, wind and poor soil. Hard orange wood was used by Natives to make bows and is good for wood- working. Grows 60 feet tall and is used for a windbreak hedge or erosion control. Somewhat thorny trees have interesting 4-inch yellow fruits that are inedible. Zones 5-9. Our Osage Orange are grown in 3x9" pots.
