Homesteader’s Kaleidoscopic Perennial Kale Grex (Organic)
A unique perennial kale we grew from seed, but it can be propagated by cuttings. All the seedlings have great variation but most tend to be “perennialize” and some flower and then return to more leaf production. Following info is from breeder Chris Homanics via the Experimental Farm Network. A chance cross between flowering Dauberton Perennial Kale and Richmond Tree Collard with other brassicas crossed in. It has been breed by volunteer breeders to be perennial, winter hardy and tasty. Give it a try and send us a picture of how it grows out and feedback to pass along! Open source plant to share.
