The Pakistani White Mulberry aka"Saharanpur" is a deciduous tree prized for its sweet, white berries and its importance in sericulture (silk farming). This variety is a cultivar of the Morus alba species, originally native to China but widely cultivated in Pakistan and other parts of Central Asia. The Pakistani White Mulberry is a medium to large-sized tree that can grow up to 30–40 feet tall with a spread of 25–30 feet. The tree has broad, lobed, dark green leaves with a slightly rough texture, and in spring, it produces inconspicuous flowers, which are wind-pollinated. The most notable feature of this variety, however, is its large, white fruit that ripens in late spring to early summer.
