Planting this wonderful plant can mean a long term investment. Plants reach maturity and full production at 5 years, but once an Asparagus patch gets established these amazing and healthy plants can produce for upwards of 15 - 20 years. They do better when initially planted in the cooler season. We have some great varieties like Purple Passion, Jersey Knight and Mary Washington.
