Developed at Kentucky State University’s paw paw breeding program led by Professor Kirk Pomper, this new patented early ripening variety is noted for its very high yields of 150 or more fruit per tree and sweet, rich and delicious flavor. Fruits have a banana-mango flavor with custardy flesh. Released in 2009, KSU Atwood has orange yellow flesh with few seeds. Conventionally grown plant in 5.5" tree band pot.
