We welcome volunteers to the Mother Farm on the 2nd Saturday of the Month! Many hands keep this 4-acre urban orchard running, so we invite you to come contribute to the abundance of the El Sobrante Mother Farm What to Bring, Etc. Gardening/farming gloves Packed lunch, if joining during lunch hours (or even some snacks to share if you're feeling extra generous!) Sun protection gear (hat, sunscreen– recommended). We will have some shade, but you may need further protection. Bandana or dust mask Water bottle Closed-toed shoes. Closed toed shoes: there are ticks and poison oak on the property; while the poison oak is limited to certain areas, it is best to be covered for protection and know how to identify it. What We will Provide Instruction and tools for the day’s tasks Drinking water Hand Sanitizer Restrooms Shade area for breaks Friendly people to work with Accessibility We want to make the farm accessible to all and we are under many limitations with the steepness of the natural landscape. We unfortunately don't have paved access ways, so wheel-chair access is challenging to most parts of the farm. For those that have any mobility challenges (different abilities, our elders, injuries, etc.), we welcome you to contact us about a closer location to park. How to Find Us You will receive the directions in the email after RSVP
