Empire Apple (Malus domestica) ripens Midseason. Medium size dark red striped fruits have creamy white flesh that is juicy crisp sweet and mildly tart. Good disease resistant apple with superb flavor. Bears young and reliably. Produces well in hot summer climates. Good pollinator for Gravenstein and Jonagold. 800 chill hours. USDA Zones 4-9.
