An Italian persimmon variety belonging to the PVNA (pollination-variant non-astringent) group. Productive tree producing both male and female flowers, making it valuable as a pollinator. Morphologically similar to other Italian varieties like Brazzale and Mercatelli.

Produces small orange fruit suitable for fresh eating when pollinated. When used to pollinate varieties like Fuyu and Giant Fuyu, it significantly increases fruit set (up to 79.9% improvement). Small fruit size makes it ideal as a pollinator rather than for commercial production.

One of Italy's traditional persimmon varieties developed from spontaneous seedlings or bud mutations of ancestral imported cultivars. Inventoried in the EC GENRES29 Project for European fruit tree conservation. Now used in breeding programs and research in Italy, Bulgaria, Turkey, and other Mediterranean countries primarily for its excellent pollinator characteristics.
