Winter Glow Duo (Dogwood and Willow)

The Redstem Dogwood is a beautiful deciduous shrub  that presents white flowers in late May and June. In the winter shows off it's dark red stems in the garden. In a pairing of (1) Golden Curls Willow (Salix 'Golden Curls') (which can be grow as shrub) with its golden colored corkscrew stems and (1) Redstem Dogwood, Cornus sericea you get a striking couple in the landscape all year long. They make a great ecological pairing when used together in landscaping or restoration project. Both are pollinator-friendly and support early-season insects. Both provide excellent habitat and food for birds and mammals. Their fruit and branches attract wildlife like deer, birds, and small mammals. They can also be used in riparian or wetland areas to stabilize soil.
