Granny Smith Apple

Granny Smith Apple (Malus domestica) is a very late season. Large fruits have bright to yellowish green skin with tart sweet crisp flesh. Very sweet when tree ripened and is an excellent keeper. Likes a long hot summer season. Has a long bloom period making it a good pollinizer. Self-fertile. Chilling hours are 500-600 and the tree is hardy in Zones 5-8.
