Cyphomandra betacea

A great open pollinated selection we grew from seed we got from the Santa Cruz Fruit Growers in Watsonville.  Big peach colored fruit with nice stripping, a nice rare variety.   This perennial egg-sized fruit makes for good eating, and is typically made into jams etc or made into a savory sauce.  Easily grown from seed (also cuttings possible but not easy), it prefers a frost free environment (or protection from frost).  Otherwise grow in a large container and overwinter frost free.
