Little Giant Blueberry (Vaccinium sp.) is a hybrid blueberry cultivar which produces fruit well-suited for freezing and processing. It is recommended for trial in the blueberry growing areas of North Carolina, New Jersey, southern Michigan, Oregon, and Washington. Plants of Little Giant are medium in height, 4.5 to 5 feet, and medium in productivity. Little Giant fruit is dark blue, small in size, has good flavor and a very small picking scar. The fruit ripening is concentrated and occurs in late July to early August in northern growing areas, typically about 2 weeks later than 'Bluecrop'.
