Half-high blueberry released 1988 from University of Minnesota breeding program. Sibling of Northsky. Hybrid of Northern Highbush and Lowbush. Larger and more productive than Northsky. Partially self-fruitful. Extremely cold-hardy.

Medium size berries (1/2" diameter) with attractive sky blue color. Sweet, mild wild blueberry flavor. Produces approximately 10 days before Bluecrop.

Introduced 1988, part of first wave of half-high releases (with Northblue and Northsky). Fruits approximately 5 days earlier than Northblue, extends for 2-3 weeks. Recommended for commercial plantings and home gardens. Reliable choice for home use in zone 3, produces larger yields in higher zones. Bush habit, foliage and bloom make it attractive ornamental.
