Precoce Migoule Hybrid Chestnut (Castanea sativa x crenata) A super early ripening sativa X crenata hybrid from France that has large nuts with an excellent flavor. Great for northern climates where late ripening varieties can get damaged by frost before ripening. An abundant early-mid season pollen producer it is excellent for pollinating Collosal and other similar varieties. Does well in cool climates and is very popular in the Pacific Northwest. Hardy zones 5-9.
