The Smith Fig is an heirloom variety from Becnel Nursery in Louisiana (originally brought over from Croatia). Popular in the Southern and Eastern United States, where it does better in humidity than other varieties. Fruits ripen mid-season. The inside of the fruit is sweet and red.
