A vigorous Russian variety forming medium-sized upright shrub reaching 6-10 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide. Features unusually lush, grayish-green foliage emerging silver in spring.

Produces abundant crops of very large, flavorful, deep orange berries ripening late summer through late winter. Tart, juicy berries high in vitamin C (7x more than lemons), vitamin A, and E. Perfect for preserves and juice, typically diluted with 70% water. Less thorny than wild seedlings with larger, better quality fruit.

Developed in Russia to improve fruit size and reduce thorniness. Used in Nevada agricultural trials (2002-2003) testing seaberry as an alternative crop for harsh conditions. Thrives in dry, alkaline, and coastal conditions with minimal upkeep.
