Plant Description - Typically have pink skin with paper like shell, easy to rip open.  type from the Trappist Monastery of Vina, CA.

Flavor Profile- Sweet with a subtle tartness, very soft seeds and pale colored arils.

Pollination - Vina Pomegranates are Self-Pollinating, meaning it is able to produce fruit as a single plant. Although planting with multiple pomegranates can promote a better fruit harvest due to cross pollination.

Site and soil - Vina Pomegranates prefers a site that is well draining sandy, loamy, or clay like soil to prevent waterlogging. Vina pomegranates thrive in hot, dry summers and mild winters, typical of a Mediterranean climate. They need at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight each day.
