Crimson Star Goji is an excellent commercial Chinese variety, also known as Ningxia #1 and Matrimony Vine. It is very productive of high quality, large bright red berries that are loaded with all the anti-oxidants, carotene, minerals and essential amino acids that goji is getting so much acclaim for. Very productive bushes ripen their berries throughout the summer and are self fertile. Cold Hardy to USDA zone 5. Packed with healthful benefits. Grows 8 to 10 feet tall. Light purple bell-shaped flowers appear in May, continuing through the summer. Orange-red berries follow, ripening in early fall. The berries have rich, sweet flavor and are eaten fresh or dried like raisins.
