Big Red Mayhaw (Crataegus opaca)

Largest fruit of all the mathaws, they are very productive of high quality haws for jams and jelly. Later blooming and later ripening than most varieties the large fruit is dark red with pink flesh and is very frangrant. Upright spreading tree is highly ornamental and needs another variety such as Elite for good pollination. Hardy zones 6-10.
