Considered the most popular hop in North America, it was developed in Oregon as a cross of Fuggels and the Russian variety Serebrianker in 1972. It has dark green cones with a distinct spicy, flowery citrus like aroma, excellent for flavoring a beer. Can also be used as a bittering hop. Vigorous and productive variety, it has low amounts of Alpha acids and is used for lagers and ales.
