It was a chance selection in a seedling grown from the cross-pollination of 7 different tree collards and kale planted next to each other to encourage interesting new varieties. This one flowers lightly each year and forms solid upright trunks. Unlike many of our other varieties this one does not need staking. This tree kale will produce and produce all while you chill in the garden! LIGHT UP your garden.
