Very vigorous tree producing two crops of very large almost-black figs. Discovered 2010 when Spanish individual noticed neighbor's tree produced fruits resembling Napolitana Negra externally but richer-tasting interior. Shy bearer first few years, becomes very productive when established.

Common self-fertile fig, large to very large fruits with beautiful deep black to dark purple skin. Bright crimson-red flesh, incredibly sweet deep purple center. Small breba crop, abundant main crop. Late ripening (late September-December). Closed eye.

From Galicia region, Spain. Introduced to US by Trees of Joy nursery, given name indicating black fig from Galicia. Third season typically shows strong production. Becomes top-tier performer once established.
