Fire blight resistant, very resistant to fire blight similar to Kieffer's resistance, moderate fire blight resistance. Strong resistance to rust disease, damage caused by fruit scab, damage caused by pseudomonas, damage caused by blister mites. Very resistant to mildew and fire blight. Strong growing tree. Very productive cultivar. Best choice in areas with disease pressure.

Blooms early, can be harvested several days earlier than Bartlett, harvest 2 weeks before Bartlett (early August). Golden/yellow fruits, yellow fruit similar to Bartlett. Smooth and juicy white flesh, good flavor, Bartlett-like flavor but with fewer grit cells. Ripens early, ripens early in fall. Good for canning, fresh eating. Long harvest period.

Developed and released 1982 by Harrow/Vineland Canadian research station. Grew well in Mississippi with good flavor per grower David Ulmer.
