Good vigorous tree. Has Satsuma genetics. Not self-fertile - requires another Japanese plum such as Beauty or Santa Rosa for pollination.

Large crimson and yellow fruit. Firm sweet juicy freestone with amber flesh. Distinctive flavors of sweet grapefruits or pineapples, making a very unique tropical flavor profile for plum. Sometimes described as reminiscent of pineapple. Heavy bearing. Ripens August 5-20. Japanese plum pollinizer required.

Originated in Montebello area east of Los Angeles in Southern California. Origin story and developer not documented in available sources. Named "Howard Miracle" (also spelled "Howards Miracle"). Remains relatively uncommon variety valued for unique tropical flavor characteristics. Low chill requirement makes it suitable for mild California climates.
