Known for its large, sweet and flavorful early ripening fruit, NC-1 has few seeds and thin skin. A cross of Overleese and Davis that was selected in 1976 by R. Douglas Campbell in Ontario, Canada. This excellent hardy variety will ripen its fruit in short season areas where some of the later varieties may not fully sweeten.
