Suij Winter Pear

Incredible long keeping pear is a cross of St. Remy winter pear and Comice. Given to me by my friend Ed Suij of Orcas Island, it was originally developed by his father in Holland, who was a farmer and longtime fruit grower and enthusiast. A truly unique pear it combines the delicious, sweet flavor of Comice with the crunchier and long keeping St. Remy. Great eating for most of the winter. Tree is productive of large golden russeted fruit with classic pear shape. Hardiness zones 4-9.
