Excellent, large calabash shaped greenish yellow fruit has creamy white flesh that is sweet, very juicy and melting with a pleasant flavor. Ripens in October and November making it a good pear for winter storage and late season eating. Very productive, annually bearing and vigorous tree. Originated in England in 1894 where it is still grown commercially. Hardiness zones 4-8.
