Super-hardy bunching onion that originated in northern China or Siberia. Can be grown from seed or offshoots, making it a perennial green onion that will grow and grow year after year. Grown for its thick green stems and hollow leaves that possess a sharp onion flavor. This perennial never forms a bulb. This crop is also grown by the Welsh, hence its name.
