Tamopan Oriental Persimmon

Tamopan Oriental Persimmon aka Tamopan Giant (Diospyros kaki) fruit is extra-large and round shaped with an acorn-like cap. Golden red skin wraps around tender, juicy, sweet flesh. This astringent variety is great for cooking and baking or eaten when very soft. Show red orange fall color is a bonus with this self-fertile variety.

Ripens in November. Requires less than 200 hours annual chilling below 45

Mature height is 20-30 feet with a spread of 18-25 feet.
