Developed by Cornell University and released in 1969. This primocane-fruiting cultivar produces two crops: moderate summer harvest in July on second-year canes, and heavy fall harvest September-frost on first-year canes. Upright, self-supporting canes reach 5-6 feet. Exceptionally cold-hardy and widely adapted.

Medium to large, brilliant red berries that are extremely firm, extra-sweet, and juicy. Fall crop is larger and sweeter due to cooler temperatures. Excellent for freezing, fresh eating, and canning.

Released 1969, Heritage became the worldwide gold standard for everbearing varieties. Received the Outstanding Fruit Cultivar Award from the American Society for Horticultural Sciences in 2004. Used as a parent in breeding at least five other commercial cultivars. One of the most widely planted raspberry varieties globally.
